Melissa Manzo, OD

Dr. Melissa Manzo graduated Doctor of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2011 and has been practicing Optometry since then focusing on comprehensive eye examinations, soft/hard/toric/hybrid contact lens fitting and ordering, and ocular disease management. Dr. Manzo is applauded by her patients as she maintains great patient rapport, ranging from pediatric to geriatric. She is trained with OCT, HRT, and various perimetric machinery. An active member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, AOA Cornea and Contact Lens Section. She is a CPR and First Aid Certified by the American Red Cross.
Deepali Patel, OD

Dr. Deepali Patel is a native of New Jersey and decided to practice in NJ to serve her community. Dr. Patel graduated from Rutgers’s University in New Brunswick, NJ with a Bachelor of Arts. She later went on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Patel is passionate about providing quality eye care to all patients. She is best known for her thoroughness and understanding when providing patient care. She is mindful of listening to patients and offering recommendations that are best suited for patients. She enjoys keeping up to date with the latest literature involving eye care to provide patients with the most accurate information based on research and clinical trials. Her interests include myopia control, post- operative management of cataract surgery, and ocular disease.
Shira Goldberg, OD

Dr. Shira Goldberg has been practicing optometry in New Jersey for almost 20 years. She graduated at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003 (now Salus University) and completed a residency in cornea and refractive disease at the Northeastern Eye Institute in 2004. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and is a Diplomat in the American Board of Optometry.
She lives in Westfield with her husband and two children.
Dr. Shira is very passionate about practicing Optometry.

Sukrana Uddin, OD

Dr. Sukrana Uddin is the newest optometrist at Specialty Eye MDs. After completing her undergraduate study in Biology at Columbia University in 2019, Dr. Uddin graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, receiving her Optometry degree in 2023. During her studies, she has completed an externship at the Salisbury Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in NC where she gained extensive knowledge in managing ocular disease such as anterior segment disease, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She achieved clinical honors in all her externship rotations within NC, PA, and NJ. In addition to her interests in disease and routine eye care, Dr. Uddin also enjoys fitting contact lenses including specialty hard lenses. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Optometric Association.
Sanjana Saksena, OD

Dr. Sanjana Saksena completed her Bachelor of Science degree at The College of New Jersey and earned her Doctor of Optometry and Masters in Vision Sciences degrees from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York City in 2022. Dr. Saksena is residency trained from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL and specializes in pediatrics and binocular vision. She values compassion and empathy when examining and treating her patients.
Dr. Saksena is comfortable in seeing patients of all ages and enjoys building a warm rapport with her patients when discussing patient-tailored plans.

Lourdes Lherisson, OD

Dr. Lourdes Lherisson earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Montclair University in 2008 and a Bachelor’s degree in Vision Science in 2009 at Salus University. Thereafter, she matriculated to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry @ Salus University where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012.
Dr. Lherisson completed externships at a few esteemed institutions, including the Brooklyn VA Hospital in NY, the Wilkes Barre VA Hospital in PA, The Eye Institute of Philadelphia and Will’s Eye Hospital in PA . She has vast experience, having worked at a variety of practices after graduation; from private practice, corporate and commercial settings in New Jersey and she brings her unique experience to Irvington, NJ. Dr. Lherisson is passionate about Optometry and is genuinely interested in providing exceptional care to all who seek her services. She is excited to provide long-term care to patients in the local community.
Outside of work, Dr. Lherisson enjoys aqua fitness, kickbox cardio, traveling as well as spending time with her family and friends and her dog named Puddles. She is fluent in Creole and can speak a fair amount of Spanish.
Ramanpreet Kang, OD

Dr. Kang was born in India and raised in Old Bridge, New Jersey. She always had a passion for health and wellness. At Rutgers University, she not only obtained a degree in both Economics and Psychology, but she also found her love for eyes while working as an Optometric Technician for four years. She decided to obtain her optometric degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University). During her time at Salus. Dr. Kang was the chair of fundraising of SVOSH where she raised money to provide eye care to underprivileged populations. She earned clinical honors in all her externships which were completed in New Jersey. Through her educational experience, she has gained experience in treating primary care cases, managing ocular disease, fitting contact lenses, and treating children who have various conditions like amblyopia or high myopia. She is a firm believer that providing patients with the highest level of care requires a team approach. Dr. Kang is currently a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and American Optometric Association. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and running. She also likes cooking and trying different food.
Preya Balroop, OD

Dr. Preya Balroop earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2023 and provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, treats ocular conditions, and co-manages pre- and post-operative surgical care. She is passionate about promoting health literacy within her community by building meaningful connections focused on patient education and preventative care. In her free time, Dr. Balroop enjoys yoga, traveling, and cooking.
Jordan Robert Taylor, OD

Dr Jordan Taylor completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo in 2012. He completed his Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in 2017. Dr Taylor has seven years experience practicing full scope optometry in Ontario. He was practicing in a Private Practice setting where he saw patients of all ages and managed a wide range of ocular conditions. Dr Taylor values patient communication and education, he does his best to ensure patients have a full understanding of what is happening with their eyes and vision.
